Through our Project Rainbow fundraising we now have our wonderful new building 'The Tree House' which provides on-site facilities for White Waltham Church’s children’s activities. Having this building helps us to welcome and better support the children and families of our Parish, nurturing our young people and enabling them to make the right decisions in their life.
The Tree House provides a base for the church’s work with families and a venue for both midweek and Sunday morning activities for children and young people. It also provides a resource for church related activities for the whole local community enabling the Church to better serve its local community.
To date we have used our wonderful new building for a variety of activities including:
Sunday morning children's activities
'Little Roots' - our Christian Parent and Baby/Toddler group
As the venue for the Messy Church meal
Midweek and Saturday children's activities and other gatherings for church families, including an Easter Families' Lunch and a Church Families' Barbecue
Serving refreshments after church on a Sunday morning
After funerals
As a meeting point for, and serving refreshments before, a Church Family Walk
The Church Fete
Church Meetings
Serving refreshments after Musical Soirees
Church Teas
Harvest Supper
A Pancake event for local families and church family members
Bring & Share Sunday Lunches for church family members
We are still raising some funds to upgrade the lighting in the churchyard, supply some Audio Visual equipment, and and are looking at ways of upgrading the pathway through the churchyard.
We are very grateful to all those who have so generously supported Project Rainbow.
